Travel Vaccinations in Wollongong

Yellow fever vaccination is required or recommended for travel to parts of Africa, and Central and South America - and some countries won’t let you in without proof of vaccination. Under Australian rules, the vaccine can only be administered at approved yellow fever vaccination centres, and your vaccination is recorded on an International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) - the document border officials ask for.

We provide the vaccination and issue the international certificate at your appointment. One dose provides long-lasting protection for most travellers; your GP will confirm whether it’s needed for your itinerary and whether it’s suitable for you.

Book at least a few weeks before departure - the certificate becomes valid 10 days after vaccination.

Book a travel consultation 6–8 weeks before your trip where possible. Your GP reviews your destinations, activities, and medical history, then maps out what you actually need - vaccines, malaria prevention, altitude or motion sickness medication, and advice specific to where you’re going.

Travelling sooner than that? Still book in - many vaccines offer useful protection even at short notice.
