Injured at Work? What to Do
Report the injury to your employer, then see a doctor as soon as you can. Your doctor will assess the injury and issue a certificate of capacity - the document your claim, your employer and the insurer all work from. We issue it at the consultation, not days later.
Bring whatever details you have: your employer’s name, how the injury happened, and your claim number if the claim has already been lodged. If it hasn’t, that’s fine - we’ll examine you, issue the first certificate, and reception can point you in the right direction to get the claim underway.

Your Choice of Doctor
In NSW, you have the right to choose your own nominated treating doctor for a workers compensation claim. You don’t have to use a doctor suggested by your employer or insurer, and you can change your nominated treating doctor if your current arrangement isn’t working for you.
Our assessments are independent. Certificates reflect your actual capacity - that’s what protects your recovery and keeps your claim on track.
Fees and Billing
For accepted workers compensation claims, consultations are billed directly to the insurer under the NSW (SIRA) fee schedule - typically nothing out of pocket for claim-related care.
If your claim hasn’t been accepted yet, ask reception when you book - we’ll explain how billing works while the claim is being processed.
